In High School I took a Principles of Fitness class year after year instead of P.E. This is where I discovered that I had a knack for workout design and a passion for anatomy, orthopedic pathologies, and the psychology of struggle.
~From 1998-2002 I was in the Army learning about disipline, strategy, and perseverance. Hard work and good fortune allowed me to attend a month long leadership school and to command a small mortar crew during peace time operations. Lessons from these experiences have been pricelsss throughout my life and career coaching clients.
~I received a Personal Training Certification from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and began working part time as a personal trainer in 2008 while attending massage school.
~In 2009 I earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Massage Therapy from Central Oregon Community College.
~I have been training clients using Med X equipment and High Intensity Training principles for over a decade.
~In 2017 I ruptured a disc in my lumbar spine while climbing. This personal experience with a serious injury and the protracted pain and recovery reignited my desire to use my massage skills to help others who suffer.
~In early 2018 I began working my way through all 3 levels of Neurokinetic Therapy.
~ Now I work full time using NKT and massage to treat new clients with pain as well as to support the efforts of my personal training clientele.
